NEED DISCUSSION IN 15 HOURS or LESS

Most of you may have heard the adage, "If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail." This principle is true in multiple areas of life, particularly within the classroom environment. Think back over your educational experiences. What was one of the worst lessons that you can remember enduring? How did the teacher fail to convey the material? Was it blatantly obvious that he or she was unprepared for class? Can you recall any overarching themes? What could he or she have done differently?

                          CLASSMATE’S POST

One of the worst classes I have actually ever had was in a master’s course. It was a class before we had to write our research paper.  The teacher had been in a very bad wreck the semester before and not taught for the better part of the year.  This class was his first attempt at getting back into the classroom. Things did not go well. He had his wife with him because he would suffer vertigo from time to time. He was either not prepared for class by knowing the material or his mental state was not good enough to be able to teach the class at that point in time. The was no direction or fluidity to the class very hodge podge and disorganized. The entire semester was like this, and I learned very little, which made writing the research paper the next semester a very large challenge.  While in my mind I was upset, in my heart I had compassion, because there were times when you could tell he knew things were bad and he could not correct them due to his mental state. With all this said he had two choices. He should have waited another semester to try and teach or when he realized he was not ready then he should have talk to the university about getting him a replacement.
