Discussion Board Instructions

There are 3 Discussion Board Forums that must be completed in this course. Each forum requires you to complete 1 learning activity (a Case Study, a Synoptic study, or a blog), reflect on the learning activity, and then respond to your classmates’ reflections of the same.

Your Discussion Board Forums will take the form of a carefully composed thread of at least 400 words each. In order to complete the Discussion Board, you must also reply to 2 different classmates’ Discussion Board threads in carefully composed responses of at least 200 words each (except for Discussion Board Forum 3 which requires only 1 reply of at least 200 words). You must add your own insights, learning, and understandings to the conversation. Pay close attention to the Discussion Board due dates.

In both Discussion Board threads and replies, any ideas that are not your own or “common knowledge” must be documented (including your textbooks and course videos/presentations) using parenthetical citations and a full bibliography of sources cited. Acceptable sources include the Bible, course textbooks, course videos/presentations, and other peer-reviewed scholarly sources. Popular sources, dated sources, and Internet sources are not allowed.

Submit your threads by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the modules/weeks in which they are assigned and submit your 2 replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the following modules/weeks, except for Discussion Board Forum 3. Submit your thread for Discussion Board Forum 3 by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of Module/Week 6 and submit your 1 reply by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the same module/week.
