I have taken note of the point mentioned in the previous discussion that I need to add about employee training and its role for the growth of the company and individual. My blog mainly focuses on employee ethics and employee not training properly with advancement of technology and digitalization.
First, I will be talking about the digitalization in industry. As everyone, know that retail industry is digitalizing and artificial intelligence, big data and other technologies are assisting in digitalization. The industry is only lagging in getting the right skill force for the right job. The industry doesn’t have good strategy to cope with the advancements in technology. Digitalization can be challenging especially fear of not keeping up with trends and developments. If we ignore these problems, can affect the morale of workplace and also will impact the performance.
Other problem in retail industry is employee engagement and customer experience.Many economist still believe that employee engagement is still face of their business. Many study says that nearly third of retail employees have no formal education. Manager’s engagement with their employees can also make difference in customer experience. Employee rewards are also not rewarding anymore, as there is not much shopping in stores.
