Allegation, plaintiff and the resolutions

The lawsuit is all about Des Plaines Limousine Service that refused to employ a worker in an unlawful manner because of his medical condition. He was deaf. His main allegations were that the company had violated federal law when it failed to hire a worker on the basis of having a disability. In this case, the plaintiff is the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

The company was in gross violation of ADA that stands for Americans with Disabilities act. The resolution of the case was that the company would pay for all the monetary damages as well as furnish all other relief associated with the discriminatory act. That is $30,000 for the job applicant who was deaf (press release, 2020). The company had failed to consider if the individual could have done the job.

Timeline

The case had to be filed within 90 days after the incident took place. At first, the involved parties had engaged in a pre-litigation period.

Other newspaper articles

Another newspaper article that talks about the case are the JDSUPRA. It j clearly explains how the company engaged in a discriminatory act that saw the company lose $30, 000 to a deaf person(JD supra, 2020).

EEOC’s presentation and the media’s presentation comparison

There is no difference between the two presentations offered above. The two clearly explain the charges and the resolution of the charges in a similar manner. The two stipulate that the company had to pay $ 30,000 for compensation.
