Week 3 Discussion Forum
You have now studied all of the bones of the face & cranium (excluding the 6 bones of the inner ear which we will not be studying). As stated in the previous discussion, the bones of the skull protect and provide a framework for all the tissues of the head to attach and provide form to.
Take one bone of the cranium AND one bone of the face and explain the bone in its entirety. Provide at least 1 photo/graphic illustrating the bone. As part of your post you should include:
· Name of the bone.
· What other bone(s) your selection articulates with.
· Function and purposes of the bone.
· Restorative value of the bone.
· Types of trauma that may injure or break the bone.
· ONE photo of your bone
Your description should be NO LESS THAN 250 words to receive full credit. You are NOT required to reply to another post this week. Know the bones!

Weekly Homework Assignment
Create a one page reference sheet that will guide you in understanding what the functions of blood are and what components can be found in the blood. It might be useful if you include blood types as well.
Week 3 Discussion Forum
Discussion Forum Week Three
This week we will be talking about the make up of blood and the function that blood plays in the body. I would like you to discuss with your fellow classmates your interaction with coagulation and clotting as it pertains to embalming. If you have not experienced this yet, please do a little research or consult with an embalmer that can help explain their experience with it. What causes coagulation/clotting and how do you handle it when you embalm?
Students: Please answer the question first and then respond to one of your fellow classmates with a substantive response.
"Substantive" means responding with one or more complete sentences that engages content. Simply responding with something like "Welcome!", "Good to meet you!", "What a nice day!" or "Look, a squirrel!" would not be acceptable responses.
Initial Post: 250 words
