Using MLB steroids case for example, explain how corrupt choices by a few

players harms players who consent to the rules.

Any sport is played for fun and entertainment and most of them enjoy watching the games.

They feel relaxed and most of them watch for relieving their stress. Major League Baseball is

one of the prominent and famous game that is enjoyed by most of the people all around the

world. The US folks spend their lot of time and money on the game, and this contains a huge

fan base. The time where steroids are used in this MLB can be considered as the darkest

phase of USA. Due to this incident the perceptions of most of the fans towards the players

and the game has completely changed, and they lost the trust on the game and players. These

games are taken seriously by the sportsmen, athletes, and most of them sacrifice a lot to play

the game. They also make huge money by making use of franchise concept and by using of

brand names, advertisements. But in this Major League Baseball, some of the players made

use of illegal performance enhancing drugs against other players.

These PEDs are used for boosting the player’s energy levels and so that they capabilities and

performance is increase or elevated. This is mainly done to motivate the players as when

they perform, a great applause will be given. But this is unethical as only the players who

makes use of steroids will play more hits and earn more money whereas the players who

comply with the rules cannot play properly. So, the actions taken by some players will affect

other players, this can also be considered as cheating and it is also a fraud. So, the players who

did not use drugs, will lose interest, cannot earn money and the fans will lose trust on them.

So, in every field, unethical activities should be considered illegal and certain actions should

be taken and ensure that this will not repeat again. This is because actions taken by some will

affect the innocent people and those who are following the moral values.
