Integrated Supply Chain Process Model:

The benefits of deploying an integrated supply chain process at any retail or manufacturing organization as that is deployed at Walmart or Toyota are to manage the processes that create value for the goods and services provided to customers, creates a cohesive connectivity through the whole entire chain, creates a smooth day-to-day process, and reduce waste within the process. Since Walmart and Toyota are big organizations with a ton of supply chain processes and suppliers, an integrated supply chain process overall helps the organization.

Some key factors associated with successful deployment of the model are setting performance metrics, monitoring and identifying integration problems and competitive weaknesses, assess performance and collaborate to improve them. Supply chain collaboration is a leading success factor. The method I would consider appropriate for measuring the integrated process is supply chain production flexibility because it is the average time required for supply chain to quickly react to unplanned demand spikes.  This method can really save the organization money and make more money. Especially in a time like right now with this pandemic, when so many supplies are having an unplanned spike, it can really benefit the organization if they are able to react appropriately.

Hey Class,

According to our text process integration includes sharing, collaborating, and coordinating information and resources to jointly manage a process. (Wisner, 217).  When companies in a supply chain share information amongst one another and create strategic plans to produce income it can substantially reduce supply chain costs, provide flexibility toward market changes, and helps increase the use of resources.  As the process that is implemented matures so does the performance so everyone benefits.

The benefits of deploying an integrated chain process at any retail or manufacturing organization such as Walmart or Toyota is that it allows these companies to create value for the goods and services they provide to customers. This integration indirectly benefits not only both companies but the customer and suppliers as well.

The supply chain process support the strategic plan of the business employing these strategies  by creating and maintaining customer relationships, balancing customer demand with supply capabilities, and creating and maintaining supplier relationships.

Some key factors associated with successful deployment of the model include identifying obstacles that impede process integration along supply chain and take steps to eliminate them to establish more competitive supply chains. This can be accomplished by employing knowledge- management solutions.

The method I would consider appropriate for measuring the integrated process is supply chain operation reference (SCOR) model. The SCOR model assists with the integration by “linking the delivery operations of the seller to the sourcing operations of the buyer (Wisner, 2017).” The SCOR model is used to help unit measure its supply chain performance against other companies and provide effective communication performance measurement, and integration of processes among supply chain members. (Wisner, 2017).
