The Government plays a very crucial role on influencing the commerce in today’s world. Even in the dates back to that of the 19thcentury, the government played a key role in the technical innovations and making sure on having a good influence of their mark in the financial areas as well in the market. There are multiple arguments saying that governments are either regulatory or influential. The government can be direct to all the actors who are involved into the commerce innovations, are these actors are directly or indirectly approved fro the subsides. All the networking services, the government allots some support for both the infrastructure and also to favorable in establishing network services charging mechanisms. The government extends their support to the mechanisms in the market and for the commerce includes strategies like the finance, procurement, political and public enterprise.

One of the important markets that the governments can use for the electronic commerce diffusions are the ‘Procurement’.  As per the DTI, the governments are the crucial players in the market from the goods and services perspective. Government can set an example on considering the electronic commerce use by doing the public procurement electronic transactions. From the norms perspective, ‘Innovation Directives’ are the one that regulates any kind of productions or the use of the government regime innovations. All the services that are delivered to the public can be more simplified by using the electronic commerce. One factor, which is the ‘Tax Regulation’, in the electronic commerce, is considered to be as a difficult task. 

The government at all times should keep in mind that the decisions what ever they are taking will have an identical and differential effect in the areas both financial and regulatory. In the electronic commerce, both the legal and regulatory frameworks, includes property protection that is intellectual and other elements related to privacy and security. The role of the government is considered as the ‘overseas salesman for its nations goods’, by the overseas agent that measures the government.
