How can you relate these two acts of deviance to the three theoretical frameworks in sociology: structural functional, conflict, and symbolic interaction (especially, differential association theory, labeling theory, and stigma)? Explain these theories in detail and show how the theories can make sense of the cases.

 

2. Explain Durkheim's theory on deviance. Relate the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shootings to all four of his functions of crime. 

 

3. Lastly, explain in detail how conflict theory views deviance. Review the Innocence Project, which works to exonerate the wrongfully convicted. Here is a link to the demographics of these cases:
