fashion hw: 5 pages long Designer Research and storyboard

I picked Christian Dior for this research paper.

Format

· Research the designer and prepare a biographical term paper of his/her life and career. 

· Use library reference books, fashion magazines, Internet, and WWD, etc.

· Term paper must be at least 5 - 6 pages in length, not counting Cover and Works Cited.

· Content is critical to excellence. Academic standards are expected for all papers.  

· Referencing MUST be included in text of paper. Works Cited' must be included using MLA format.

· Paper must be in your own words and other authors work in quotes with reference - MLA format

· Plagiarism will result in an F for the assignment. 

· Remember, research papers require at least minimum 4 sources excluding Wikipedia.

· Review class standards for acceptable format.

Paper should include:

· Date of birth [death if applicable]; Schooling: areas of study

· Designer's design philosophy and signature styles

· Where they worked and with or for whom [with dates]; Mentors

· How did this designer become famous? Include marketing and promotional strategies used; licensing

· Where does/did this designer get his/her inspiration?

· Any interesting tidbits on the designer's life and the times when they have designed. (W.W.I, W.W.II, political era, etc.)

· Key trends influence(s)

 

Digital Storyboard:  Create 11" X 17" storyboard displaying an image of your designer and a minimum of 10 images of their design work throughout their career - must include dates. Images should reflect the range of their work.
