Description of Good Samaritan Hospital’s Organizational Chart

This is a hierarchical organizational chart of Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland.

At the top level of the chart is MedStar Health, of which Good Samaritan is a member. MedStar is a not-for-profit, regional health care system serving Maryland and the Washington D.C. areas.

At the second level of the chart is the Good Samaritan Hospital’s Board of Directors.

Reporting to the Board (at the third level of the chart) is the hospital’s president, Jeffrey A. Matton.

The fourth level of the chart consists of the seven divisions of the hospital reporting to President Matton.

The Finance Department is managed by Vice President of Finance Deanna Stout. The organizations reporting to Ms. Stout (those listed below her on the chart) are Health Information Management; Emergency Department Registration; Special Services; Finance; Central Registration; Ambulatory Surgery and Registration; and Admitting.

Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Affairs are Case Management; Johns Hopkins University Orthopaedics; Quality/Risk, Safety, and Compliance; Oncology; Hospitalists; Medical Faculty and Hospital-Owned Physician Practices; the Resident Program; Wound Care; the Department Chairman; Physicians Assistants; the Medical Staff Office; GME; the Health Science Library; Continuing Medical Education; the Good Health Center; and the Center for Primary Care.

Jennifer Weiss Wilkerson is the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development. Ms. Weiss Wilkerson’s areas of responsibility include Joint Experience/Spine Experience; Strategic Planning; Volunteer/Auxiliary; Retail Operations; Physician Relations; Marketing and Communications; and Community Outreach.

Under the Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer are Cardiology Services; Sterile Processing; Respiratory Therapy; Renal Services; Professional Development and Education; Perioperative Services; Nursing Administration; Medical Services; IV Therapy/Phlebotomy; Inpatient Rehabilitation; Heart Care Services; Emergency Services; and Critical Care Services. Also reporting to this position is Nadja Muchow, Patient Care Manager.

T. J. Senker is the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for Materials Management; Patient Logistics; Security, Transportation, and Telephone

Services; Pastoral Care; Outpatient Rehabilitation; Integrated Support Services; Imaging; Inpatient Pharmacy; Food and Nutrition Services; Environmental and Laundry Services; and the Clinical Laboratory.

Also reporting to President Jeffery Matton is the Assistant Vice President of Information Systems.

Lastly, Laura O’Donnell is the Vice President of Human Resources, which is comprised of Supplemental Staffing; Infection Control; the Human Resources Hospital and Good Samaritan Nursing Center; Employee Heath; and the Child Development Center.
