Resource Constraints
The objectives of resource management are to understand the different types of constraints that can affect different project phases such as scheduling and planning, how resource management works in a multi-project environment, how to find out potential resources over the location. The objectives of resource management are to understand the different types of constraints that can affect a different project phase, such as scheduling and planning, how resource management works in a multi-project environment, how to find out potential resources over the location, and how to apply resource-leveling procedures. The basics of resource constraint is an essential concept of this class as it teaches how to manage project resources throughout the project life cycle. Everybody is aware of managerial duties and how the project manager drives the project to success. Pinto (2019) noted that Managers must first recognize the wide variety of constraints that can adversely affect the efficient planning of scheduling of projects, including technical constraints, resource constraints, and physical constraints. As per my understanding, identity key resource constraint is an essential task for the project manager. Furthermore, Pinto (2019) added that Initial project cost estimation and budgeting—those activities that nail down resources—are essential elements in project management.
To explain physical constraint, Pinto (2019) mentioned the Philippine government’s nuclear power plant project. The gist of this nuclear power plant project explains how project surroundings can create an issue and stops the projected growth. My company manufactured cardiac implants and instruments. We have biohazards lab and clean room for device processing, investigation, and storage. During one of the audits, we find out that the cleanroom is out of compliance, and we have to recall the distributed devices and shut down the production. So, in the future, when I start my restaurant, the concept of resource constraints will be prepared for my 100%. Human resources is another major resource constraint. According to Pinto (2019), when projects are created without allowing for sufficient human resources, project teams are immediately placed in a difficult, reactive position. Furthermore, Pinto (2019) noted that a reasonable and thorough assessment of both the degree to which each of these resource types will be needed for the project and their availability is critical for supporting project schedules.
