Feedback to Learner1/29/21 8:45 AM

I appreciate your efforts on this assignment submission.

Please be sure to review your assignments prior to submission in order to catch errors such as typos and language that doesn't add value to your writing.

Per the rubric requirements, you should be providing comparative pay information from more than 2 quality trade data sources. I do see that you used a total of 3 references in this assignment, but there just isn't a powerful connection in terms of relevant data. For example, your third reference (Pabilonia, et. al., 2019) was used to discuss the cost of living and population information in New Jersey. This was not used to add value to your paper in terms of comparing the pay between the roles in the specified locations.  Without relevant data sources that specifically address the pay rates from at least 3 relevant sources, I cannot award full credit for that section. It's always good to compare at least 3 relevant data sources. Some recommended references were provided in the resources section at the end of the assignment instructions that is located just above the grading rubric. I appreciate you you mentioned the Bureau of Labor Statistics in your paper. This is an excellent resource for a vast amount of information! You research, however did not directly come from that source. It appears to have come from another source who referenced that BLS data in 2019.

Here are some additional tips to improve the writing of this and any future assignments. I encourage you to review the feedback below, conduct more thorough and relevant research and resubmit the assignment. Additionally, please refrain for using ambiguous language that does not add value to your writing. Using phrases such as "first off" and "with that said" does not add value. Please be sure to also check your writing for grammatical errors prior to submission. One example is in the first paragraph where you said "supposes a healthcare worker...".

Score 3: Identified the pay rate for each job in recommended market data sources - nurse practitioner, nutritionist, office manager, administrative assistant, and medical assistants in both locations and information on two quality trade data sources and quality assessment of data.

A recommendation for this section is to include research that is relevant and comes from a mix of data sources. What did the comparative sources say about this information? Was the data identical from each source? You stated that the information came from various places, but did not clearly identify the sources with each of the points made in your paper. You were given a score of 3 in this section because you provided information, but not completely relevant research. The assignment calls for use of more than 2 quality trade data sources. Some examples of these resources were discussed in class. There is also information posted in the resources section of the assignment. Please see the feedback above that also mentions the criteria for this section.

Please see feedback regarding sourcing requirements above. Some recommendations were discussed and are listed just below the assignmet information.

Comparative Pay Analysis

First off, it is vital to make some of these critical statements. We must recognize that the cost of living in Orlando, Florida is -12.7% lower than in Trenton, New Jersey. For example, supposes a healthcare worker is earning a salary of $ 60,000 in Trenton, New Jersey, when he or she moves to Orlando, Florida. They will make a salary of $ 52 403 to maintain their standards of living (Chansky & Modica, 2018). Employers in Orlando, Florida including the likes of Physicians, typically pay -12.0% less than those in Trenton, New Jersey. So with the same type of job with the same salary scale in the same company in Orlando, Florida, one will typically pay $ 52,815 (Chansky & Modica, 2018).

With that said, the recent reports indicate a nurse practitioner in Orlando, FL, making $24, on average for those having 8-10 years’ experience, earns $105,110. Consequently, on average, a nutritionist makes $60,200 in Orlando, Florida, as of October this year (Chansky & Modica, 2018). However, the range is usually lying between $54,800 and $66,200. This variation can be somewhat extensive and might depend on education, additional skills, certifications, and the longevity one has in the profession (Chansky & Modica, 2018).

In Orland, FL, an office manager averagely earns $76,019 as of October 28, 2020. However, this may also range from $ 64,709 and $87,965, depending on many critical variables like education, certification, and the likes (Chansky & Modica, 2018). Additionally, an administrative assistant, on average, gets a salary of $ 40,514 as of last month. Although it can range between $36,252 and $46,014, it entirely depends on variables like level of education, additional skills, et cetera. Medical assistants in this city earn $ 34,453 as of last month (Chansky & Modica, 2018). However, the range is between $ 31 763 and $ 37,201 basing on the aforementioned critical factors.

Contrarily, a nurse practitioner in Trenton, NJ, earns $ 119,410 with a range that falls between $ 110 802 and $ 129,719. A nutritionist in the same city earns $68,400 and the range falls between $62,300 and $75,200 (Chansky & Modica, 2018). An office manager salary here is $86,361, with a range of $73,512 to $99,932. On average, an administrative assistant here earns a salary of $46,026 with a range that falls between $41,184 and $52,274. Finally, medical assistants, on average, earns a salary of $39,140 as per last month and with a typical range falling between $36,084 and $42,262 based on the variables like education, additional skills, certifications, or the number of years one has spent in their profession.

The above data is retrieved from widespread sources, including the online libraries and statistical databases on weight clinics' salaries on the professions, as mentioned above. However, the central focus was on Occupational Employment Statistics, which has offered the above wage and employment estimates by state and industry, specifically in 2020 (King, 2017). Although these estimates are empirical and are meant for research studies, it is also essential for us not to forget the data's limitations.

The geographical area with higher Salaries and factors contributing to that

Trenton, New Jersey, among the two areas, is the one with the higher salaries as explicitly represented in the table above. Fundamentally, some of the factors leading to this upsurge/upscale of wages in this area are perhaps the higher cost of living. For example, the cost of living in Orlando, Florida, is -12.7% lower than in Trenton, New Jersey (Pabilonia et al., 2019). Also, New Jersey, in general, is somewhat a dense state, perhaps the densest state in the entire country. In a square mile, the state packs in 1,218 people (Pabilonia et al., 2019). This high population would mean that the cost of land is very expensive because of the high demand, and also the clinical services provided by the weight clinics are in high demand. So, this means that they would need more customers per day to keep up the cost of their operations in this region (Pabilonia et al., 2019).

Why nurse practitioner attracts high pay in both the areas

Focusing on the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data, nurse practitioners are paid relatively high salaries in Trenton, NJ, and Orlando, FL, compared to other occupations. These states are in Northeast regions in the United States. New Jersey is the most populated, with Florida coming in the third position. The populations herein are quite extensive, with the rising US median household income (Pabilonia et al., 2019). New Jersey, for example, is ranked the second wealthiest American state after Maryland and with neighboring state New York offering it with most of the employment opportunities and high paid jobs on Wall Street. This state is also the hub of pharmaceutical, transportation firms, and information technology (Pabilonia et al., 2019). Because of its diversity, the population demographics comprise high-middle income adults. With other factors like old age and lifestyles, this state is likely to employ more nurse practitioners and pay them more.

Occupational outlook

Nurse practitioners and medical assistant employment are forecasted to grow by almost 45% from 2019 to 2029. This is growth will be much faster than the average of all occupations in the US. Terms of how this affects the payment rate depend on the critical variables like education, additional skills, certifications, et cetera (Pabilonia et al., 2019). For example, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ($181,040), the highest-paid profession for an NP, seems to be that of the Nurse Anesthetist. For the nutritionists, the employment of dietitians is likely to swell by 8 percent from 2019-2029. The rate of salary is affected by the growth of food in preventing and treating diseases like diabetes and obesity.

Consequently, the employment in the administration sector, in this case, the office manager, administrative assistant services, is projected to grow by 6% for the next ten years, faster than the average of all occupations (Pabilonia et al., 2019). Jobs like managing facilities and preparation for emergencies will attract more salaries and remain critic in a range of industries.
