a. Training
This is the process of developing the employees' skills through a combination of educational lectures in the classes or by the help of an instructor and practices while they are at their workplace (Brown & Sitzmann, (2011).
3. Job rotation
This is a method where the employees voluntarily rotate their roles with their colleagues to give them a chance to put some of the new skills in practice as well as acquire and develop additional skills.
4. Coaching
This is a method where the seniors and more experienced staffers work hand in hand with the less experienced employees with the aim of helping them to polish their skills—job rotation method help in learning about team management and leadership skills (Harrison, (2012).
5. Mentoring
Involves the top leaders or the senior management sharing their experiences, taking and motivating the young and less experienced staff to help them develop their skills. This is helpful in motivating the employee to take up new roles and enhance their creativity.
6. Self-study
This is a method where the employee takes classes, do research, and further reading about his career to acquire more information and develop new skills. This gives the employee to decide what is more interesting to them and go-ahead to pursue them.
