Deep Dive into the Marketing Concept – Huy Fong Foods

This assignment consists of 2 parts.

- Watch the Sriracha (Huy Fong Foods) video found in www.cengage.com/ (instructions are on the second page below “where to find the video”) or read about the case at the end of chapter 11 in the text. The marketing concept is a broad term for the activities companies engage in to achieve objectives. It has several components.

Answer the following questions:

Part 1:

Explain the marketing concept as discussed in Chapter 11 of your reading this week ( pay particular attention to the first paragraph in Section 11-3). Is Huy Fong Foods using the marketing concept? Defend your answer. (Response should be around 200 words)

Part 2:

List the four components of the marketing mix (Chapter 11). Give an example of each of the components from the Huy Fong Foods case.

· Click on “ Chapter 11”, and under that you can find the “ Chapter 11: Building Customer Relationships Through Effective Marketing Reading”. Click on it.

· You will be directed to the book and will be able to see the table of contents. Begin reading.

· You will be directed to the attempts. Click “ review” next to the attempt 1. You will then be directed to the video. Watch video.
