College systems change all the time. For instance, when library access software is changed from card based to biometric scanners, there is a lot of confusion but through taking time to understand what is going on, it becomes easy to get along. One way that this is achieved in the given scenario is through prior notices to communicate the expected changes and what to do so as to stay updated, prepared and ready to embrace it. Through training and an enrolment process that saw a majority of the student’s biometric data collected, the department was able to prepare students in advance and this helped in ensuring that the transition was flawless, with few resistance instances across the campus.

Adding more staff and allocating more unrealistic resources to stalled projects is an absolute wastage most of the time. When projects delay too much, they miss the point of their relevance and therefore it is only wise to concentrate on the new progressing projects and ensure that they do not stall as well. Allocating more resources to delayed projects sets back an organization by depriving the positively progressing projects the needed resources to continue doing well. Through personal experiences, such projects can only be given some more emphasis to have the team work harder and also report any challenges to have them sorted instead of blindly adding more team members to the task (Pearlson, Saunders, Galletta, 2016).
