Magazines are constantly starting and ending, and more magazines fail than survive. In order to survive, magazines need three things. One, they need an idea: Something short and very specific. Two, they need an intended audience: What gender, age, region of the country, lifestyle. Three, they need advertisers, who will place ads in the magazine.

Using these three criteria, describe a magazine that you would like to start.

· What kind(s) of articles would it include?

· Who would be the audience for the magazine?

· What would the “ideal” audience member look like?

· Who would advertise in the magazine?

· What kind(s) of products would they sell?
