Database Model
CSCI 340 – Intro to Database Assignment 11. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Contact Tracing Database Model As the word struggles with the COVID-19 pandemic, it shouldn’t only look up to Medicine for vaccine for cure, it should also turn to science – specifically Computer Software, for help. One of the biggest challenges of this epidemic for authorities and medical professionals alike is how to keep track of the COVID-19 Patients – and those they come in contact with. Because this is not an easy problem, it seems like problem software can help solve. In this assignment, students who are taking the Intro to Database Course, are asked to develop and test a COVID-19 Contact Tracing Database Model (CCTDM). In this team assignment, students will research and understand the meaning of contact tracing in general and as it relates to COVID-19 specifically. Then they will come up with a robust CCTDM model that is capable of correctly tracing patients and their contacts, as this would allow authorities to easily identify and quarantine those returned by the CCTDM systems.
