Application Where Databases are used

With an increase in the use of Information technology, it has become easy to gather data and store it I a server in the form of a database. In this database, the data is organized, stored and retrieved by multiple or end-user in several ways, making him benefit from this data for his work. Making the task easy, faster, efficient and reliable is the main reason that people create a database for use in an organization or even for personal issues. For organization, the database may be a straightforward cash sale, inventory, ticket reservation, accommodation services reservation or even data regarding the employee. In this case, the employee database will be considered, looking at its key attributes, and that makes such a system usable, thus serving the purpose they are created to do. Hotel reservation system is one such application using database for information processing. The database is used to calculate and determine how much the customer will be judged base on the services the client wish to utilizes while on board

The key attributes for this database application are arrival name of client, National ID/Passport, date arrival time, place to be picked from, baggage approximate weight and size, double or singe bed. Type of room needed (executive, business or economy class), departure time and date. Need to be escorted to airport and inclusive of meals. The Primary key for this database is the room number

The relation of the data collected here is the need to understand the kind of services suitable for this client and what he will be charged. The client will thus pay based on the services rendered or consumed.
