After the meeting with Robbie Butler and the GM on June 4th, 2021. I would like to work at 1st Jackpot in HR because the employees do not have the attention as HCT does for us to help them so we can engage with them more. Also, I know that I will be more focused on my work at hand without the mistreatment. If that is not possible, as I have been told twice which was never my choice, I should work in F&B because I like helping people. I feel the same way in HR that is why I took on this career to help others. I know I am not wanted in the HR department because that is how I feel due to how I am treated. I have stated to my many times how I have been treated by Ashley Bulloch as she continues to do so to myself and to our employees. 

In the meeting on July 4th, 2021, I appreciate the GM and my manager speaking with me, but I thought the GM was going to be in our meeting as you always have a meeting when Ashley complains about me. now that she once again is being disrespectful to our employees as I witnessed, but I became the focus point and the blame.

June 3rd, 2021, Ebony Williams our new hire walked in our office to ask if she could get a badge made for her. I told Ebony that we did make you one, but it is at Hollywood, and I can go and get it for you if you need me to. Ashley then said to Ebony, so you are working early. Well, you must be volunteering because you are not going to get paid for it. I looked at Ashley and said maybe you should email her manager before you say that or speak to Mrs. Robbie first. I said to Ashley, Robbie and Jocelyn made a schedule up for Ebony to start early and corporate is handling her account as Ashley was cc on a few emails and I was told Ashley spoke to Robbie about Ebony. I got up as Ashley was talking to Ebony and tried to get Jocelyn to come in and explain to Ashley so Ebony would not get so confused but she was in a meeting. I walked back in, and Ashely was still talking, and I said to Ebony I think that you should go back and speak to your manager and let her explain everything to you.

I felt that Ebony would not be at work if Robbie and Jocelyn did not work it out for her to do so and you should not tell a new hire they must be volunteering and that they are not going to get paid for it, that was just beyond rude and that is not what we teach in our orientation class or how we should represent PENN in HR. After Ebony left Ashley got upset and again in a demanding tone that we should all have a meeting just because I said to Ebony you should go back and speak to your manager which is the first chain of command to follow. Jo Cunningham said she was going to eat her lunch so I said Well I am going to the bathroom for a second then come back in so we all can talk. I took an extra minute after the bathroom and saw Jo and Ashley walking to go talk in a private place.

I feel that this situation was switched from how Ashley who was disrespectful in front of our HR business partner who is my manager to Ebony Williams to Cynthia is the problem and Ashley is always excused from her behaviors, but I am questioned almost every time Ashley has a complaint towards me. Robbie apologized to Ebony and Jocelyn, and she said she would speak to her team.

Ashely over exaggerates almost every situation that does not need to be if we can only just figure out a solution but to just to get someone in trouble or make a person’s day harder. I go over and beyond for employees I work very well but not working in a hostile environment and being dismissed by Ashley when she wants things do, she always addresses Jonelle every time never addressing me as if I am not even there.

I have witnessed the week of our job fair Ashley speak to Andrea James after asking for Andrea to help HR with the job fair. Ashley did not ask Andrea, she told her that she was going to work and that she needed her all day and Andrea said that she needed to leave at 4:00pm and Ashley said no that will not work I need you until 5pm. I said to Ashley we need all the help that we can get, and Andrea has helped before. Ashley again with the rude tone spoke and I apologized to Andrea James. I have witnessed Ashley speak in a tone that Jo Cunningham did not like so she addressed her about it. I have witnessed in our Orientation Ashley saying during benefits, I am healthy I am a 29-year-old white girl and she repeated it 3 times as I looked around the room and saw the body language change. I had a new hire come up to me and say that when Ashely was giving her a paper it dropped on the floor and Ashley never apologized nor picked it up for her. I can test to this situation because Ashely did that to be in the filing room, she was handling a paper to me, and it dropped but she never picked it up she did not care that she dropped it which also showed me a sign of how rude she is at times.

 

Ashley, not only to me but to others at work talked down to and treat them as if they were beneath her. I have tried to speak to her about it and sometimes ignore it and she apologizes, and I think that we are on the same level, but she keeps doing it.  Even Jo witnessed her speaking disrespectful to her and to me when her parents where intown and I said Ashley go and be with your parents. Ashely said could you all just leave me alone and let me do my work I had to take time out and help the team so please just let me focus so I can finish. I walked out saying nothing and forgot my phone, I came back in the office and saw Ashley standing at Jo Cunningham’s office not working.

I love HR and always will, but I will not stand for people that enjoys treating people in a disrespectful manner and she continues to get away with it and tries to make me look bad in all ways and her motive is to get me fired because I have stood up for myself and others. All we must do is respect, help, and show up because when things are going great, we get along well laugh and do a great job. In orientation Jonelle and I work very well together we help each other, and Ashley enjoyed embarrassing us, and I had to talk to Ashley about it and we worked it out. Ashley does not talk to Jonelle in this manner all the time but only to me and I cannot believe that you have known her this long and never addressed this problem that she has. I am a respectful hard-working team player, and I do not talk down to our employees, because if it is not them it is not us. In the meeting my work performance was talked about and questioned more than the situation at hand. We are supposed to have an open-door policy and I was not expecting to just have a conversation with the GM but all HR so nothing would be said out of order and get down to the real problem so we can get to a solution. I have said many of times the way I have been treated and talked down to by Ashley and this bothers my performance and I thought we were on the same page when I disguised that with Ashely before. On June 3rd at 1st Jackpot, I simply stood up for the employee and now I am looked at as the problem.

 

I did not apply for PENN NATIONAL GAMING to be treated in this manner. After speaking and knowing what our mission stands for and to see this not being addressed so we can move forward from my team is dissatisfying. I just want to be transferred into a manager’s position to make Ashley happy and to whomever else feels the same way but cannot speak up and say it.  I have been written up for things that others have done or worse and they have not.  I have accomplished a lot in this short period of time, but this is not fair, and I am not going to have people in HR keep speaking to me about working for housekeeping only because I like helping people. Yes, I enjoy being a team player I enjoy being a part of a winning team but not when one person is being the bully, and no one is doing anything about it. Investigate, ask others how they feel and how they have been dismissed or mistreated. I know HR needs Ashley because we are new and we are still learning the system but by the expense of how she treats people, and you know she is like this.
