Company ABC Brand Protection Process

Brand protection is a process through which companies protect their intellectual properties (IP) against any forms of counterfeits, copyright pirates, and infringers (No Reference). Brand protection aims to protect the company from losing its revenue, image, reputation, and value in general. Therefore, brand protection generally prevents or protects companies from experiencing brand abuse. With the current advancements in technology, companies need to secure their properties against cybersecurity issues that can harm a company's brand in one way or the other. Thus, the brand protection process entails detection, validation, enforcement, and reporting of issues that threaten data safety in a company's database (No Reference).. This paper provides an analysis of the brand protection process and ABC Company.

Company ABC is one of the most successful manufacturing companies across the globe. (No need to explain what company ABC is, just refer to it has a web application company). Since most operations within ABC involves the use of the internet, brand protection becomes paramount to protect the company from counterfeits, cybersecurity, and other forms of technologically supported risks that can harm or ruin the company's great operations. The company is known for manufacturing electronic commodities such as earphones, headphones, USB cables, bulbs, and security cameras (Sałamacha, 2020) (Not sure what this refers to). The company designed and developed all these products, hence the need to secure each process to ensure that competitors do not plagiarize on the design and make them their own. The company has thoughtfully resolved on creating secure remote access, which is believed to stop a variety of trademark theft, data breach, and other forms of cybersecurity within the company (Not sure what this refers to). Since the new market is evolving rapidly, Company ABC is doing all it can to ensure that it keeps its database safe from any form of breaches through brand protection. Therefore, Company ABC has created an implementation plan for the secure remote protection system to ensure that its brand is protected.

(The Brand Protection is not just about secure remote protection, that is just an example. I was looking for more areas of brand protection and their implementation like monitoring brand presence online, social media security, protecting intellectual property)

Secure remote access is a vital aspect of networking and data security in companies today. Companies allow their employees and businesses to access company resources such as data without affecting their security through remote security access. Therefore, Company ABC is focusing on technologies such as VPNs, SASE, cloud access, and firewalls to create secure remote access (Sałamacha, 2020). However, due to the current demands in electronic technology, Company ABC is implementing cloud security in securing its remote access (Paper is meant to act as a form of recommendation not a description of current process). Cloud is a new security technology essential in managing a remote workforce to help users access resources regardless of their location. The steps to implement cloud security in company ABC include;

a. Ensuring that cloud computing fits into the company’s strategy: this is the definition of the project because there are applications and infrastructure that should not be included in the cloud.

b. Selection of the correct platform: Company ABC should choose a fast, easy, and safe platform to deploy. A flexible platform helps in scaling the evolving business.

c. Deciding the contents of the cloud security: this happens after the company has understood all security policies because there are servers or service providers who believe that data security is the responsibility of the company.

d. Creating a transition plan: have a rollout of phases that will allow you to gradually increase or transition into minimal risks while maintaining business continuity.

e. Creating an organizational change management plan

f. Eliminating risks and performing smooth cutovers

g. Enhancing and improving company capabilities and communication.
