Reader Analysis

All take-home Reader Analysis assignments will be assigned verbally in

class; and all are to be turned in to Dropbox by no later than the date and

time announced in class. All Reader Analysis assignments are to be 1-to-1.5 pages in length, and

are to be written in MLA format.

For this Reader Analysis, respond to the following:

Consider Furo's transformation in A. Igoni Barrett's

novel, Blackass. What did Furo transform out of (what was he?)? What did he transform into (what did he become?)? Did

he transform into a white man? Or did he transform into

something else? Did he perhaps transform into something other than human? Think critically before responding, and provide

evidence from the text to support your claim, and try to answer

the questions: What was Furo prior to his transformation? What did he become after his transformation?
