The creative Brief

Your brief is to creatively portray, using the research technique of photographic elicitation, the 9 various types of self-concept (as stated in the brief)

The creative brief has 3 outcomes, and each learning outcome is equally weighted.

Learning outcome 1

To explore and evaluate the idea of using photo elicitation as a research technique within the area of consumer behaviour research.

Learning outcome 2

To create a portfolio of images that reflect your understanding of the 9 various types of self concept.

Learning outcome 3

To discuss and evaluate the theories that underpin the different types of Self-concept and how these theories and ideas relate to your chosen creatives.

The Creative portfolio guidelines

The creative portfolio parameters are:-

A word limit of 3,500 maximum

There are no page limits to the creative portfolio only a word limit. The words used to answer the brief must be put into a word document and uploaded through tunitin on the day of submission. Failure to do so will result in a ‘late’ submission for which standard university regulations will apply.

Execution of the portfolio in terms of size and creative content are left to your discretion.

The portfolio must include and answer all sections of the brief, it must include academic theory, quotations, references and academic illustrations within the portfolio. The creative content of the portfolio should be an execution of your ideas, and should be backed up by sound academic reasoning.

ASSESSMENT GUIDANCE

The Creative portfolio should be a maximum of 3,500 words. Appendices, references pages and bibliography are unlimited.

You must reference any and all research done for this assignment and provide a bibliography, using APA to support your references. Guidance can be found in your student handbook.

All submissions of the creative portfolio should be physically handed in to The business school reception on the day of submission before the end of the working day together with a turnitin submission which is required before midnight on the same day of submission.

Failure to provide proper references and a bibliography for the academic theory part of your portfolio will result in a loss of marks and could result in there being given a ZERO grade for plagiarism
