LP02 Assignment: Prepare for Interview

I wish to interview my close relative, who has been a manager in our family business. This family venture has been successful, and through his leadership as the manager, the family venture has remained as a leading quality provider in its industry of operation. Therefore, to me, this is a perfect interviewee from who I can gather knowledge on risk management and quality improvement. His name is Mike, and he is my uncle. Mike has been the manager of a family venture for a decade now, and this family business has grown from one store business to own several outlets in other cities.

From my interviewee, since he is a close relative, accessing hi is not a problem. For this reason, I wish to interview him through a face to face interview. In this interview, I will record the critical points that I will learn from his about risk management and risk management. I prefer face to face because it has more personal appeal, and there is a likelihood of mining more information as conversation proceed. This can be limited where I could have used methods like questionnaires because my interviewee could only remain aligned with the question in the questionnaire.
