CLASSMATE’S 1 DISCUSSION
Culture may be described in various ways, but at its most basic level, it can be summed up as a system of universally held ideas, values, and behaviors. Individuals', regions,' or organizations' cultures may all be classified as personal or geographic (a company's culture). Although the language, religion, and traditions may also be seen as part of the culture, these three things are often associated with it. However, culture reflects both diversity and values within the world. It helps determine how people think, their behavior, eat and drink, how people dress, the language they speak, and what festivals they celebrate.
When defining culture, typically, I consider racial makeup, religion, dietary choices, and fashion. However, according to Kahn, culture is a structured system of shared attitudes, beliefs, values, objectives, symbols, behaviors, and identities that influences how one thinks, communicates, and behaves. The system of values consists of three pairs of benefits, equality of opportunity, individual freedom, and material wealth, formerly known as the American Dream. Hence the price people pay to experience benefits such as self-reliance, competition, hard work, individual freedom, and self- reliance (Datesman, 2021). American culture is highly individualistic, requiring people to be self-reliant and independent (Haosuyawen, 2015). There is a strong belief in equal opportunity and meritocracy, in which this reward is based on one's ability rather than their social position or wealth (Evason, 2021). It also contains shared perceptions, experiences, and notions of status and power (Kahn, 2015). In light of the above, however, I will define culture as the educational experience and subsequent application of knowledge. Furthermore, I can clearly distinguish the accents of many civilizations. For the most part, how they engage with people socially—or how they dress.

CLASSMATE’S 2 DISCUSSION
Culture is a very complex subject that can be interpreted differently. I would define culture as "human beings’ social heritage—the ways of acting and doing that are passed down from one generation to the next." There is both material and non material culture. (Kahn, 2015, Chapter 2). When I think of culture I often think of the beliefs and customs that a certain individual has, but it is much more than that. Culture can be the type of clothing that we wear, the food that we eat, the language that we speak, our religious view, and much more. Culture can be impacted by the people that you are surrounded by, personal beliefs, the region that you live, and groups that you belong to.
America is known for being a country with a wide variety of different cultures. This has shifted over the years and dominant cultures are becoming "subordinate subculture groups." (Kahn, 2015). I identify myself as a white American, female, Christian, English speaking, and educated person that grew up in the Midwest. Internal characteristics of my culture would be my belief in God and my knowledge. External characteristics of my culture would be the clothes I wear, the food that I eat, the technology that I utilize, my race, my gender, and the language that I speak.
Some cultural norms that I learned as a child was to respect your elders, honesty, work hard in school, and to not be late. There are some stereotypes to the culture that I identify with. This includes Americans being disrespectful to other cultures, females having the need to start a family and not work hard, and the fact that we are born privileged.
In the Human Service field, it is important to recognize that we all come from different cultures. It is important to respect those differences and realize that it is okay to be different.

CLASSMATE’S 3 DISCUSSION
Culture to me is a way of life which includes certain beliefs within a population that are passed down from generation to generation. According to [Kahn, 2015], " culture can be termed as describing people within their way of life". My culture is of African descent where my ancestors are from and within our culture, we are taught many things that other cultures might not understand, like the way we dress, interact with each other, how we communicate and the kind of foods we enjoy eating as well as our beverage.
Our organizational culture is composed of our belief, values and methods within the interaction and that will make our organization firm with a solid foundation which can be interpret and equated to our geographic location as well as our personal beliefs, [Bhasin, 2020]. Within this theory it shows how people work together in a common cause to bring about a positive reward with each other in accomplishing their goal.
African American is what I must identify with and within our culture I was taught to respect my elders regardless of their race, I was also taught that education was the road to success and being educated made me the man I am today, successful, intelligent and family orientated. My strong believe in God has guided on this journey, so I would consider this my internal characteristic and my external characteristic would have to be the way I carry myself with pride and love for others as well as my liking for soul food and Kool-Aid which I was raised on and still consume it today.
To always brush my teeth before going to bed, wash or bath every night, respect people and have confidence in whatever you're doing. Therefore, I would say that cultural norms are informal roles, what is expected with the understanding that will shape our life within our own culture,
I work within a rehabilitation [controlled] every day I must speak and assist my clients with their attitudes and problems and my clients within this institution come from many different cultures and some are very negative towards different cultures therefore they tend to bond and socialize with people that share their own values and traditions but I must respect each and every client regardless of their culture or gang affiliation because I learned as a child that people are different but we are all the same under the eyes of God and my conviction is firm in what I was taught as a child.
As a Black male there are many stereotypes associated with us based on the color of our skin, [Bloom, P. 2014], we are placed in a category that we are hostile towards others especially those in authority which is a myth created by inferior people who truly believe in this nonsense and we as a Black race must always be conscious of what we are doing when we are out and about. My philosophy is "Laugh with many, but don't trust Any".
