Japan Communication and Business Practice
Entering a foreign market requires a keen risk analysis and this includes looking at non-market events such as social and political and which may cause losses to the investors.
In the case of Japan, their culture matters and investors should carefully analyze the cultures of Japan before making a choice to venture into their market.
This is because the culture present in Japanese work places is different from the rest of the workplaces like American’s.
Unlike the self-motivation polices, employees in Japanese employees opt for group mentality and brace their seniors, who are associated with age with the honors of approving big decisions (Sarah, 2018).
They work for long hours taking little vacations in between some time of the year.

The worker in Japan commonly referred to as “salary men” are more formal compared to other countries like America.
Japanese workers are also expected to party together off work in order to improve their relationships at work.
Privacy is highly valued and asking about personal life is considered rude. Silence is considered as a sign of wisdom, credibility and emotional control therefore highly appreciated.
There are some cultural challenges experiences in Japan.
Communication can be a challenge because of the much use of gestures to express gratitude, respect or being sorry like bowing and handshakes (Paperap, 2019).
Some eating habits in Japan are what other cultures consider as rude.

When it comes to transportation, talking loudly or eating in public transport is against their cultures and specific manner for riding trains.
Most of Japanese bathrooms are high tech which may cause confusion due to multiple advanced options.
Someone who is no familiar with all these culture may find it challenging to be in Japan.
Before venturing into such a market, it is important to get conversant with some of these business and social cultures.
This will help to avoid experiences a lot of hitches which may cause losses to a business.
Learning some of the basics applied in interaction with the Japanese would help to blend in easily.
Business and office protocols are easy to maneuver around with just little adjustments.

In conclusion, Japan has a strong culture which is highly observed even when dealing in business and formal environments.
Venturing into any foreign market requires on to be conversant with some of the cultures to avoid confusion all along.
