Cultural anthropology

· Analyze the concept of culture as used in anthropology.

· Present a definition of culture that you would use in teaching the concept to others.

· Explain the basis of your definition and any characteristics you think should apply.

· Explain how the concept provides the basis of the four fields of anthropology (cultural, physical, archaeology, linguistic).

· Provide one or more examples you would use to convey the concept in a teaching environment.

· Structure

· Introduction - brief - 1 - 2 paragraph

· Analysis of the concept of culture - longer, covering the various discussion of the efficacy of the concept by various authors - 2 - 3 pages

· Definition/description of concept of culture - 1 - 3 paragraphs The basis of the four fields - 1 page

· Important considerations Banned words/expressions - “impactful” and “based off of”
