Instructions for Cultural Event Activity Introduction: For this project you will go to a cultural event and then use PowerPoint or Prezi to create an artistic representation of your experience of the event. You WILL NOT actually present these Prezis or PowerPoints to the class, but you will use them as an art form to express your experiences. What is a “Cultural Event”? This can be a museum of art or culture, a place of worship, a festival or celebration of some culture, or even a musical concert. If you go to a place of worship, it cannot be from your own religion. If you go to festival or celebration, it cannot be from your own cultural background. If you go to a concert, it cannot be rock or rap concert, but Classical music or some kind of folk or traditional music. What to do at the cultural event: Take some selfies of yourself there or get others to take photos of you. Take other photos of what you see as you go along your visit. Take notes of your experiences while there. If possible, talk to other people there and learn about what they are doing there. What you need to turn in to get your 200 points: This project is relatively simple. If you complete all of these requirements, you will get the full points. Read carefully.
