Mobile security
Abstract
Mobile security is the measures and precautions taken to protect tablets, smartphones and other devices that can be portable as well as the network connection on which they are attached. The protection involves ensuring that these devices and their networks are free from threats and vulnerabilities that are linked to wireless computing. This project seeks to explore the threats and vulnerabilities of mobile security so that a proper mobile security can be established. By giving an insight to the reader about mobile security threats like data leakage, social engineering, WiFi interference and out of service devices, the article will provide the reader with a comprehensive insight of these threats and their intensity as well as the effects they are likely to cause to the user of the mobile device. Knowing the threats to mobile security will be a great baseline for the readers because they will now understand the problem at hand, and they will be eager to know the best and effective solutions that can help in countering these threats. The paper will provide the professionally approved mobile security measures by using meta-analysis and borrowing information from existing peer-reviewed sources. This will include real life precautions like ensuring that no one can watch while feeding in secret pins and passwords on a device in order to protect personal information from getting into fraudulent hands.
