A. Current Problem: The use of Cryptosystem in Modern Medical Industry. The need to keep data and information confident is a key issue in the modern society and thus, cryptosystems should be utilized in order to secure the valuable, delicate and sensitive information.

B. Area of focus: Cryptosystems in modern industry. In the medical industry, it is key to secure patients data such as patients’ name, social security and address details by end to end encryption.

C. Thesis Statement: Use of cryptosystems in light- weight cryptography to secure medical data in Internet of Things Systems due to the recent rise of cybercrime activities.

II. Background

A. Historical Overview of modern cryptosystems

Modern cryptosystems began evolving in the 20th century. Inventions of machines such as enigma rotor machine enhanced information security. With the onset of computing and electronics such machines were not able to cope up. This led to introduction of ciphers to code information in transmission. Healthcare institutions were not prepared against protecting their data and also patient’s records from internet security threats. Thus the need to continually integrate new cryptosystems into the medical field

B. Historical medical field cryptosystem overview

In the modern medical industry, cryptosystems are essential. The use Light-weight cryptography to secure medical data in Internet of Things systems is used to enables communication without human interruption and prevents data misuse, unauthorized access.

C. Current link between Modern Cryptosystems and medical field

Image data in medical industry is a primary key in healthcare information system , where cloud computing approaches are being utilized. Due to the privacy, security and safety issues, encryption and watermarking techniques need to be used as part of the modern cryptosystems.

Limitations: The main limitations for the cryptosystems are the security and privacy issues which acts as the main threats to wireless healthcare applications.

III. Major Point 1: Securing medical data sharing by using cryptographic methods in cloud

Minor point I: Data stored in cloud is safer than one stored via paper and dient- server records.

Minor point II: The major concern is on whether the shared information gets to the desired location.

IV. Major Point II: Ciphertext policy attribute based encryption

Minor point I: Medical data can be accessed by several personnel for instance the medical doctors, technicians, patients, relatives and nurses.

Minor Point I: Medical data should only be accessed by the authorized users only, ciphertext encryption and policy should be implemented

V. Major Point III: Policy for cryptography in healthcare

Minor Point I: Effective security capable of protecting and assuring information assets for healthcare providers.

Minor Point II: The main consideration for guarantying the security is by establishing an objective and a scope for implementing security services.

VI. Major Point IV: Data Encryption methods necessary for healthcare provuiders.

Minor Point I: Healthcare providers should understand the various encryption layers in order to be able to choose the best fit

Minor Point II: The encryption keys include public keys,, private keys and algorithms.

VII. Conclusion

In conclusion, modern cryptosystems are vital in protecting data integrity in medical field. It should be embraced to protect information confidentiality. Health organizations should also continually update the systems with new cryptosystems.
