What is BCRF?
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is the first nonprofit organization created to provide funding specifically towards progress of the world's leading breast cancer research.
As of this year BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer research worldwide.
OUR IMPACT
2003 - BCRF investigators first identify breast cancer stem cells.
2013 - The Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance launches.
2014 – The American Cancer Society reports that deaths from breast cancer have declined by 38 percent since 1990.
2016 - BCRF launches the Drug Research Collaborative, an effort to bridge the gap between academic investigators and access to drugs in development.
2023 - BCRF launches the first-of-its-kind Global Data Hub for breast cancer research in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh.
On the left are just a few of the incredible achievements made over the last 30 years by BCRF and its grantees.
With every dollar donated, the door to opportunity opens a little more for BCRF. With over one billion dollars raised, our organization has given some of the brightest minds of our time the tools necessary to save many, many more lives.
My experience with BCRF
The reason I chose Breast Cancer Research Foundation is because of my aunt Lindsey who passed away because of Breast Cancer.
My aunt had routine checkups done with mammograms, but the last mammogram she had didn’t show any signs of cancer. She wasn’t made aware of any issues until she was feeling general pain in her chest/liver; of which when looked at by doctors she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
My aunt Lindsey was 46, and one of the sweetest most genuine souls. I'll always remember how brave and loving she was when faced with one of the most difficult obstacles in life.
I support BCRF myself and believe in their mission with every fiber of my being.
