"The Criminal Justice Process" Please respond to the following:

Determine the four most important areas of the criminal justice process. Provide support for your rationale on why you feel that they are vital as they relate to the criminal justice process.

RE: Week 1 Discussion

Good Afternoon Professor and Class.

After reading the article, I found that the four most important areas of the criminal justice system are; first the law enforcement, as they help to keep the peace, arrest, and investigate crimes. Second, we have the defense lawyer, who defends the offender charged with a crime. Third, we have the prosecution, who represents the state or federal government, not the victim, until the accused is either found guilty or not guilty. Then we have the courts that are ran by judges who make sure laws are followed and also determines whether an offender gets released on bail before a trial. Lastly, I thought the corrections to be an area, as this area monitors and watches over the offenders while they are in jail or prison. All of these areas are important to maintaining order in this land, without these areas from the law up to the corrections department, we not have order and there would be chaos. Laws were made along with the criminal justice system, and these are the people who make sure those laws are followed. So these are the areas I thought were important. Although, all of them are important.
