The time has come to write your book review.  Everyone should be finished reading their chosen texts by now and ready to write an awesome review & tell me what you thought of the book.

Guidelines:

· Include book title, author, date published, etc.

· 1.5 pages (in paragraphs)

· Single spaced

· One inch margins

· 12 point, Times New Roman font

Book "reviews" should be critical (not necessarily negative) and not simply a Regurgitation of what you've read.  Take a look at the following links regarding critical book reviews:

There is no need to include a works cited page or parenthetical citations (unless you cite another work).  If you need help writing, you may consult with the UTM writing Center:   http://www.utm.edu/departments/writingcenter/  (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.

What I'm looking for in your review:

· An assurance that you've read & analyzed the entire book (not just the Cliff's notes or summary on Amazon)

· Free of grammatical errors

· Your own thought/work (if I find that you've copied & pasted from the internet...oh boy!)

· Lots of good, concise information summarized into one short, organized, thoughtful, easy to read page (like a can of condensed soup)

· No fluff

· Summary of the book, what you thought about the book/author, will the info you learned help you in the future or have you at least been exposed to useful info, did you learn anything from reading the book or should it be banned from the library and burned in the quad?

Book reviews should be submitted by: Wednesday, December 12'th @ midnight (CST).

Note:  Your review will automatically be submitted to Safe Assign, which will check it for plagiarism
