NON PROFIT SECTOR IN CANADA

CRITICAL ANALYSIS PAPER

Prepare a critical analysis of 6-8 pages (1500-2000 words), based on the readings of week 2, 3 and 4, by answering one of the following questions:

1) What does the ‘’nonprofit’’ sector’ represent in Canada or in comparative perspective?

or

2) Which theoretical approach to governance helps us better understand this important sector in Canada?

The analyses should be structured in the manner of an essay. Your introduction should briefly present the topic and question you are dealing with and your thesis (your answer to the question).

The body of the text should be structured around the main arguments from the texts to be read and the criticisms that you wish to raise. Finally, your conclusion should summarize your main points so that your position on the issue is clear.

The critical analysis will be evaluated according to :

- the quality of the answer to the question;

- the use of the readings;

- the quality of the general presentation of the written document (structure, style, grammar, citations and bibliography).
