BOBSVILE FLOODING CRISIS COMMUNICATION PLAN

Purpose and Objectives
The purpose of the communication plan is to keep Bobsville residents updated on the ongoing flooding crisis that has hit the town. The crisis communication plan aims at informing the residents about the following elements:
· The level of flooding. If it is increasing or decreasing from one day to another
· The local administration efforts to protect the Bobsville residents against the effects of flooding.
· State of recovery in the adversely affected areas.
· Inform the residents on areas they can move to in order to reduce the risk of being affected by the flooding crisis.
Key Stakeholders
· Head of municipality
· Head of disaster management department
· Weather forecasting officer
Enabling
The crisis management team is tasked with the responsibility of encouraging people to move to areas that are more secure.
Functional
The team on the ground will lead in the recovery efforts of people who are affected by the floods.
Normative
The team on the ground will come up with plans to protect the unaffected population and ensure that they are relocated to safer grounds.

Equipment and supplies
The equipment and supplies will be handled by the city council through the Bobsville Logistics Company
