Creative Project Grading Rubric

Grade

Criteria

A- to A 90 – 100%

· Creativity. Student spends quality time creating an interesting project. Artistic components are innovative, relevant, and have taken effort to create. Project is uploaded right-side-up and of an appropriate size for ease of viewing.

· Scholarly Components. Written explanation of project includes excellent integration of terms and processes discussed in textbook, online course content sections, and peer-reviewed articles. 

· Thoroughness. Addresses all components of the assignment instructions thoroughly.  

· Writing Quality. Written explanation flows through a process of highly logical development and is free from punctuation or grammatical errors.

B- to B 80 – 89%

· Creativity. Student spends time creating an interesting project. Artistic components are innovative, relevant, but may have been put together quickly. Project is uploaded right-side-up and of an appropriate size for ease of viewing. 

· Scholarly Components. Written explanation includes good integration of terms and processes discussed in textbook, online course content sections, and peer-reviewed articles. 

· Thoroughness. Addresses all components of the assignment instructions.  

· Writing Quality. Written explanation flows through a process of logical development and is mostly free from punctuation or grammatical errors.

C- to C 70 – 79%

· Creativity. Student has created a project, but the project is hastily created or presented. Artistic components are sloppy in presentation or uploaded upside-down, sideways, or too large or small to be viewed easily.

· Scholarly Components. Written explanation does not integrate well the information from the textbook, online course content sections, and peer-reviewed articles. 

· Thoroughness. Some components of the assignment instructions may be missing.  

· Writing Quality. Written explanation does not flow well through a process of logical development. Contains punctuation or grammatical errors.

D or F 0 – 69%

· Project fails to address the assignment, is inadequate, is not acceptable as college-level work, or was not submitted.
