BUS 100 Introduction to Business
Business Process Instructions
Business Process flow
Identify all the tasks/steps your business and customer must do from the time the customer hears/finds your business until the final product/service is in their hand.
E.g. Restaurant business – customer receives a flyer in the mail, shows up at restaurant, is seated, order taken, food delivered, additional ordering, payment, clean table, etc.
Identify non labor items you may need for each of the steps. (Think of the standard business functions.)
Identify the labor involved in each step of the process.
Don’t forget management!!!
See the example on next slide.
Use boxes for tasks/steps, diamonds for decisions. Connect boxes to indicate flow. Put required labor role above each box. Put additional info below each box.
