RE: NASA Space Grant
To whom it may concern:
Please allow this letter to represent my request for funding towards unmanned spaceflight conducted at our college. Unmanned spaceflight represents less of a risk, is cheaper, and provides more accurate readings for future technological development, making it the better option for funding.
Spaceflight is necessary for technological advancements, but human spaceflight has become obsolete in recent years. Human spaceflight has lost lives over the past few decades, and with increasingly risky endeavors, it is becoming a demoralizing and less attractive option. Unmanned spaceflight provides more accurate data and is more reliable than human data gathering while costing significantly less money. Simply put, unmanned spaceflight is a superior alternative to human spaceflight.
Technology is accelerating at an exponential rate, and it will continue to do so in the coming years. By funding unmanned spaceflight, increasingly greater discoveries and technological advancements will occur, which will in turn lead to future progress as a species. The consistency and safety of unmanned spaceflight can help foster an interest in sciences and space travel for generations to come. With fewer resources required and greater results, unmanned spaceflight holds greater potential and is more logical to fund.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mathew L. Siegel
