Through the Center for Student Professional Development at Temple University, I recently learned about the open Social Media Intern position at The Franklin Institute. I am a junior digital marketing major at the Fox School of Business. My social media experience and ability to communicate complex ideas make me a great fit for this position.
I have an excellent background in mobile communication from my time as the social media coordinator for Temple University’s honors program. I used social media to inform students about honors activities, share updates about deadlines and opportunities, and engage a college audience. In one semester I increased activity among platforms by 50%, and user interaction increased about 400% per tweet. Our social media team developed a marketing strategy that syncs all media platforms and analyzes social media trends. My social media expertise can help produce content that will excel the brand.
I am good at communicating complex information, which I demonstrated when my team won the PWC Case Competition in Fall 2018. We recommended a tire manufacturer to acquire a rubber recycler as a public relations measure. While considering the company’s values and culture, I researched acquisition costs, projected revenues, merger and acquisition laws, and alternatives to acquisition. In a one page executive summary and accompanying 10-minute presentation, I highlighted the most important and effective arguments. My experience will allow me to present complex information to clients in an easy-to-understand manner.
My business education, combined with my social media expertise and experience communicating complex ideas, make me a great candidate for the Social Media Internship.
