Personal Philosophy Statement
Caring is a complex process with its grounds in a spiritual and ethical context. Caring for others portrays a duty to safeguard human life and protect the rights of human dignity. As a nurse practioner, it is my duty to identify the preferences of a patient and coordinate a patient centered and quality treatment plan. I made a decision to become a nurse since my attitude is better suited for caring about others. I have worked in different capacities in several health institutions, which has given me the experience to provide compassionate and quality care.
Self-Assessment
I take responsibility for my actions as a nurse and share my knowledge with colleagues and clients to ensure there is high quality health care provision. My decision making process is very effective since I base my decision and practice on current evidence. I value insights from colleagues and clients and I help patients to make informed decisions. Ethically, my first concern is the patient. I treat patients and colleagues with respect including students.
Personal goals (short term and long term)
My short-term goal is to acquire a nursing practitioner position within a progressive medical health center. My long-term goal is to provide quality health care for those in need.
