The evaluation of child abuse

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the causes of child abuse, the effects, the control, and the possible penalties over those who violate these rights. This is meant for the safety of our future fathers and mothers of our nation, considering that the children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and on looking at news that is going viral on media concerning child abuse is wanding and very remorseful indeed. The research also includes the recommendations to the court for the lawbreakers as the court will be the ultimate solution.

Introduction: In most countries, people below eighteen years of age are considered to be minor. The constitution, therefore, advocates the protection of them by formulating the rules that make them covered; some of the rules which govern the protection of them are the right to food, the right to live, and the right to education.

The violation of these rights brings about “child abuse” of which it has affected the lives of many children causing some of them to have a permanent effect on their mind thus affecting their thinking over a particular living occasion, for example, if the girl child is abused by her father, she may develop a negative attitude towards the male gender, and this will even make her refusing to be married due to an impression and the image created by her father in her mind. For this reason, the research is about the evaluation of child abuse. The need for coming up with this research paper is after reading an article on the sexual violation of children; according to Higgs et, al(2017), there is aggression and violent behavior that children are being passed through. This has stirred my thinking, and therefore due to a sense of humanity, I begin looking on the way which may help to end this dramatic scene so as to save the lives of many innocent children.

Literature Review

Focusing on the above introduction, it is noted that common forms and most dangerous of child abuse are sexual molestations. This is defined as the act of children to have them sexually, and for this case, our draft will be looking at some of the causes of sex abuse under the topic "Sexual Molestation In Children," effects to the children, possible ways on how to evacuate our children from such pandemic and as well as the fines for those who will be held responsible over such claims. Based on the above-mentioned issue, there were some scholarly sources that try to find out the breadth of the cases dealing with child molestation. Some of the scholarly sources that helped me to get the draft are:

McKibbin, G., & Humphreys, C. (2020). Future directions in child sexual abuse prevention: An Australian perspective. Child Abuse & Neglect, 104422.

This looks at the future application on child rights, thus stirring the urge to protect children's rights; this scholarly source is, therefore, relevant as it addresses the topic of child abuse, which is considerate to the topic of research.

Syed, S., & Gilbert, R. (2020). Are children who are home from school at an increased risk of child maltreatment? Journal of Public Health.

This journal looks at the number of children who at home due to childhood maltreatment; it, therefore, hits to the point of child rights under education, and this gives it the relevancy to this research hence very relevant

Orben, A., Tomova, L., & Blakemore, S. J. (2020). The effects of social deprivation on systematic adolescent review. Aggression and violent behavior35, 1-12. Cox, A. D. (1997). Preventing child abuse; a review of community‐based projects 1. Intervening on processes and outcome of reviews. Child Abuse Review: Journal of the British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect6(4), 243-256.

The maturing girls are at a great threat as we have some people who take the situation to their evil benefits due to lack of exposure and other necessary requirements during their periods. This brings the relevancy of this source in line with the topic under research. It looks at the deprivation of the teenagers who are adolescents, such children are being molested, and there is s need to address it.

Christian, C. W., Levin, A. V., & ABUSE, C. O. C. (2018). The eye examination in the evaluation of child abuse. Pediatrics142(2), e20181411.

This looks at the effect of the child abuse, and according to this source, there are some effects of abuse which will permanently affect the child, some abuse such as corporal punishment, can cause both internal and external effects to the child; therefore, this source looks at the effect of abuse on eyes. The source is therefore relevant.

Ho, G. W., & Chan, A. C. (2018). Media portrayal of a hidden problem: An analysis of Hong Kong newspaper coverage of child maltreatment in 2016. Child abuse & neglect83, 62-73.

This source provides the vital information on public awareness on issues relating to child abuse thus contributing greatly to this topic and this brings its relevancy on the topic. The research is also addressing the awareness on the children rights this will therefore increase the volume on campaign in social media and the child will greatly benefit from this.

Maydell, E. (2018). ‘It just seemed like your normal domestic violence’: ethnic stereotypes in print media coverage of child abuse in New Zealand. Media, Culture & Society40(5), 707-724.

Under the causes of the child abuse, domestic violent has been attributed to be also one of the major concerns and thus this article covers the relationship between parents which will cause the children to be abused in any way. The scholarly source is also essential in this research as it outlines on how domestic violence.

Swain, S., Wright, K., & Sköld, J. (2018). Conceptualizing and categorizing child abuse inquiries: From damage control to foregrounding survivor testimony. Journal of Historical Sociology31(3), 282-296.causes child abuse.

The Swiss parliament banned a woman from walking in public due to the runaway of the children, this woman was suspected by the children and thus when they set their eyes on her all of them runs away psychologically that woman would have been doing something ill to the children thus creating a negative attitude to children, this source is relevant to the research,

Golding OAM, F. (2018). Sexual abuse as the core transgression of childhood innocence: Unintended consequences for care leavers. Journal of Australian Studies42(2), 191-203.

Almost every article that is published every day carries the information on the child abuse. This is very significant as it exposes all the evils that our children are passing through thus very essential to the source.as my research is basing on evaluation of child abuse then it is includable in making awareness on the child right.

Courtland, R. (2018). Bias detectives: the researchers striving to make algorithms fair. Nature558(7710), 357-357.

This source looks at the improved decision to deal with child abuse such method including the child abuse model to capture the violators, basing on the research, this source and the topic of discussion are merging and thus inclusion of this source in research Is a wise decision. From the above sources, we find that most of them have a deep concern with the child abuse but under the category of sexual assaults. It seems to be so evil and heartless to molest a child knowing very well that what you are doing is not upright at all.

The topic’ sexual assaults ‘,is double edged and therefore it also has the pros and cons .The pros are that this topic creates awareness of the evil our children are passing through. Another is that the topic enables to determine the point of concentration when dealing with child abuse and thus through speciliasation we find out that it broadens the scope of thinking on child molestation. However this topic has got its demerits too, one of the demerits is that it is very difficult to collect data because those who have gone through the situation normally find it difficult to divulge the information thus being reluctant to share their past history.

From the literature review ,the scholarly sources and the pros and cons of this topic of sexual assaults in children I therefore conclude that it is necessary to come up with a draft which if widely accepted, it will be archived so as to provide detailed information on the topic of sexual assaults. Below is a draft dealing with the causes, effects and the solutions to curb this vice activity. It involved research from various sources where questionnaires were issued to groups of people we found their response. There were some sort of the interviews and sampling of the children .from the data collected it was evident that causes of such ill behavior is: Drug abuse which drive the functioning of the abusers leading them to such vices, there was also the issue of poverty where by some of the puberty girls are lacking funds to buy the necessities during their cycle thus opening them to the violators who took an advantage of the situation .Therefore this research should be used in addressing psychological legal issues knowing that one out of three girls and one out of five boys are abused sexually (Wangamati 2019). Considering sex as a psychological item therefore an assessment was conducted to determine the validity of this statement. It is evident that many of our young girls and boys are facing hard time and of which they require a quick liberation. Even though some of them were not divulging the information, the reports were gotten from the police officers through their records in the occurrence book and there were many rape cases that were confirmed.

Having been aware of such a situation, I therefore call upon the hand of the law to deal with this matter knowing that the future of this country lies in the hands of the present children. Upon the acting of the legal procedures, the following instruments can be used to combat violation of such sex by banning illicit brew and other drugs and giving public awareness to the teenagers about effects of sex violation and how to overcome peer pressure the country now knowing the causes of sexual violations. Therefore the court has to come up with more penalties for those individuals who will be held responsible for child molestation and also send warnings to all the citizens in the country to be aware of the penalties, the penalties should be tough enough which will teach a lesson to the individuals.
