The authors Longmore et al. (2021), sought to determine whether the influence of romantic companions’ alcohol consumption on teenagers' underage alcohol intake is unique from the influence of friends and families. A total of 825 teenagers, ranging in age from 12 to 19, were picked using random sampling and surveyed for data (49 percent males and 51 percent females). Laptops were used by teenagers to complete the questionnaire, while a parent completed a separate questionnaire. Logistic regression models were used to determine the drinking habits of prospective romantic partners, previous alcohol consumption in adolescence, peer drinking, and drug and alcohol consumption by parents. Results indicated that alcohol consumption by a person's dating partners had a great impact on alcohol use incidence and issues among older teenagers and male adolescents. This study will give valuable information on the impacts of romantic partners' alcohol consumption on teenagers' drinking which will be crucial for the background section of my thesis.
