Science Project
Students are expected to create an attractive brochure on regular sized 8 ½” x 11” paper. The brochure must be tri-fold or bi-fold (see example below) and must be appealing to the reader.
1) Choose an element (see list below) which Must be approved by your teacher.
2) Brochure
MUST
include:
· Name of element and an explanation of origin or history of its name.
· Pictures of the element (atomic structure and physical formation).
· Symbol, Atomic Number and Atomic Mass of element.
· The group and period where the element is found.
· The electronic configuration of the element.
· Where the element is commonly found and in what form (compound).
· The melting point, boiling point and density of the element.
· The abundance (%) of element in the earth’s crust.
· Two (2) uses of the element.
· Two (2) facts about the element.
1) Site two (2) credible sources of your information.
