During the duration of this class my focus will be developing options to prove the company with a new network infrastructure. A company called Medical Needs have requested that I create the network infrasture for the two locations in Tennessee. They have hopes to expand to other states in the Southeast. Medical Needs provides orthopedic devices and replacement parts for crutches, braces, wheel chairs and any other medical aids that may be needed. The goal will be to develop the appropriate network design for this company with the ability to expand and grow in the future and cost effective. In order to accomplish this goal, I will have to ensure all the equipment in these two offices can support the network infrastructure needed to accomplish the desires of the company.

Description of Company
Medical Needs is accompany providing medical devices to people as prescribed by their doctor, this could be anything from, crutches, braces, cpaps and many other medical needs. The offices are presently located in Nashville and Chattanooga with plans to expand to other areas of Tennessee in the future. The two companies are both rather small currently, with approximately ten employees in each location. With the right network choices, they could continue to grow and compete with the other medical device companies in each area. We will make controlling the inventory of both companies more efficient. Prescribing devices will be streamlined to make it effortless for physicians, along with the customers receiving the product needed without any wait time. The key to these goals will depend on the network structure implemented with reliability,
maintenance free, and secure to protect confidential patient information.

When designing a network, four major considerations should be considered. First, the network must have an uptime of 99 percent. Second, the network for the organization must meet HIPAA compliance. Third, the network must be easy to use, troubleshoot, and manipulate. All the organization policies ought to govern the hospital network so as to keep it productive, secure, and efficient.
By keeping these considerations in place, a medical device facility is able to better facilitate its employees and patients to have a smooth working environment. The report will highlight how installation and configuration of physical hardware will be done. Lastly, the paper will highlight how remote access and maintenance will be done together with the required network pro prep toolkit.
Network analysis
To meet the network design goals for any organization it is very important to first figure out the possible critical points of failure. For a medical facility such as this one the critical points of failure are hubs and switches which links the doctor’s office, billing offices, hospital labs, and operating rooms. Another point of failure is the location of servers or the data center which contains critical data and patient records. Other points of failure including cabling, hard-disks, NICs, internet gateway, PSTN link to the ISP, and the VPN connection to the remote offices (CiscoNetworkingAcademy, 2014).
The following discussion illustrates the proposed hardware for Medical needs company. To start with, the company data center ought to be located at Nashville. This acts as the brain of the company as it dictates data and information flow. This means that the company needs to use a line of top high-end servers. In addition, the company need to employ the use of server virtualization where two virtual machines will be used i.e. RedHat Linux Enterprise version six and windows server 2012 for communication, imaging and Computerized Practitioner Order Entry system (CPOE).
The specifications of the servers are highlighted by table 1 below:
