CONCUSSION DEBATE ASSIGNMENT (50 points) Due: Monday, April 15th, 2019 at the start of class

Instructions: Students will be required to write a 1-2 page opinion paper on concussions and brain injuries answering the following 2 questions:

1. Should children be allowed to participate in collision sports before the age of 14? 2. Would you allow your children to participate in collision sports?

You are to find at least 1 current event (from the past year) or journal article (from the past 5 years) to help support your position. In addition, use information you learned in class and from the Head Games documentary. The paper should be double spaced and contain proper AMA citation formatting. In class, students will discuss their opinions and must participate. Points will be deducted from the student’s points if student’s do not participate in the class discussion.
