Instructor Notes:

Now that I have completed grading your Project 3 submissions I will like to highlight a few things that will be helpful when preparing your concept paper next week. First, you must start with your general problem statement, provide context, and then your specific problem statement and context.  Everything else builds off of this so it is imperative that you present these first. Your context and current literature support for your problem statements should be at most two or three paragraphs. You do not need to present more information than this. Your research questions should then be presented, as the answers to these questions would address the assertions made in the specific problem statement. You should clearly distinguish whether the research question is qualitative or quantitative. Then you present your research hypothesis. Remember, only quantitative study have research hypothesis. Your hypothesis is based off of your research questions and should include a null and alternative hypothesis. Then you present the appropriate research method and provide justification for your choice of research methodology. Finally, you present your research design.  Research design could be experimental, or non-experimental for quantitative research, narrative, phenomenology, grounded theory, case study, ethnographies for qualitative research or convergent, explanatory sequential, exploratory sequential or transformative for mixed methods research (Creswell, 2014). You are expected to make proper use of level one and level two headings to add structure to your paper by distinguishing the respective sections. The expectation is that you incorporate all the feedback provided in Projects 1, 2 & 3 when completing your concept paper. Please ensure that you are carefully reading the assignment instructions so as to ensure that you are addressing everything that is required. Let me know if you have any questions.
