We have now read three stories that share common themes, explored in different ways: O, Russet Witch, Wreck, and The Visit. The life experiences and times in which they lived informed the works of these three authors and accounts for differences in mood and how the themes were explored. For this second paper, choose any two of these stories and explore the theme of loss with a critical analysis. The primary theme of loss may be coupled with secondary themes present in the fiction. This paper should move beyond a simple compare and contrast, aiming to give your understanding of what the author may have intended to say with his work and how he accomplished that. A great paper will analyze the complexities of these stories with critical analysis of the literature and its subtext.

· Incorporate a minimum of three references or scholarly journal articles within your work.
