Customer Interview (Competition)
Interviewees
David Milner – a player
Steven Kennedy– a coach
Diana Lakewood– a member of the Athletic Footwear Association
Job Harris – a journalist
Edwin Richardson – regional director in charge of sports
Hypothesis
Before conducting the interview I had assumed that the customers would know much about the different of competition that is taking place in the industry, l also thought that I only had by coming up with a product with far much better than my competitor I would be able to win the hearts of my customers since what they were mostly lacking from the already existing companies was customer satisfaction. As a business, my main aim was ensuring the customers were fully satisfied with the solutions I presented.
Experiment
1. Which are some of the companies do you think will give us a hard time penetrating the market?
2. Do you think this industry is still open enough to accept and use the products of a new company?
3. How do other companies engage you in terms of product promotion?
4. What do you think are some of the weaknesses and strengths of the companies we are competing with?
5. How can you describe your relationship with the companies which are already existing in the industry?
6. Do you think the solutions we are offering are better than what our competitors are offering?
Results
I was able to learn that there is a great relationship between the customers and the existing businesses. I noticed some aspect of customer loyalty when it comes to certain aspects of the business. The competitors also had a strong market share, and it would be a challenge for us to penetrate the market effectively.
Iterations
I decided that I am going to conduct further analysis from different stakeholders and also other relevant people who would assist me in knowing the level of competition I am going to face when I enter the market.
