Compensation and Benefit Package
Amazon.com, Inc. is an American sophisticated technology corporation, with its headquarters in Seattle, Washington. The company emphasizes on cloud computing, e-commerce, and the sale of commodities and services either as a middleman or directly between distinctive retailers and its various clienteles globally. The company is known to be one of the best, regarding salaries and remunerations to its employees. However, in the recent, the stakeholders saw it wise to undertake a redesign of the compensation and benefits package in specific job roles (Henderson, 2018). As a benefits specialists, I present the redesign plan of job position: Management Consultant, to enable the company to recruit new employees successfully.
A management consultant to a cosmopolitan company like Amazon.com, assist the firm in solving challenges, creation of value, advancing the business performance and maximizing of growth. They often incorporate their intellect business skills to deliver objective expertise and advice, thereby assisting the company in establishing any high-quality skills it may be lacking. Primarily, management consultants emphasize majorly on the structure, operations, management and strategy of that particular company (Safari, 2017). It includes roles like the recognition of a company’s options and provision of recommendations for significant change. A management consultant also advises a firm on the needed supplementary resources to implement rationales.
At Amazon.com, the average salary for a management consultant ranges from $118,000 - $134,000.Amazon’s benefits for the consultants include; provision of a car, in line with the manager’s grades. There is still an option of cash payments to a car, ordinary worth $7,000 - $11,000 per annum. To the senior consultants, other benefits include the offer of food packages. Shares and bonuses packages also seem to be less generous (Safari, 2017).
In this action plan of redesigning the compensation and benefits package, there underlies planned action plans to take into consideration. They include:
1. Useful aligning of the benefit plan with as objectives of the company that involves the frequent revisiting of the strategy to ascertain that it evolves as employee and regulations necessities change while upholding the company’s priorities.
2. It is focusing on global reliability in line with local relevance. The distinction in culture amidst locations can be housed, long as they align with the strategic commonalities that give a hand to the underlying principles of the business.
3. Provision of fundamental security while heightening choices of employees is another effective action plan to focus on while building a new compensation and benefits package (Henderson, 2018).
