Build me a layout with the population of all computer resources needed to run a 100 person company and what will the Infrastructure will be comprised of:

· Complete with a document that shows me what thoughts and processes you went through to come up with your infrastructure (a memo).

· Layout of people and showing relative positions of everything.

· Where will the data center go and why?

· Why did you place people and things where you did? Was there a reason? Think of workflow. Who works the most with whom? Such as Accounting and Finance together or close by each other as well as close to the CFO.

· The total size of the data center in terms of equipment, such as servers, network storage devices, switches, routers, PBX/Voice over Internet Protocol (Phone system installed in a rack in the data center).

You should use the data I provided below. Reference the following presentations, excel sheets or other documents, in no particular order:

· 2 examples of server set ups – real companies

Graded requirements are:

1. The above must be shown as a layout (Diagram or picture of your ideal environment). NOTE: This MUST be completed using software (MS Word .docx, MS Visio .vsdx, MS PowerPoint .pptx, MS Publisher .pub preferred OR a .JPG or .PNG format). Hand-drawn diagrams will result in a 10% grade reduction.

2. A description of what you did and why. I am looking for details and depth of analysis.

3. Brands and model numbers of the above computer system units with costs. You may use a modified BOM approach if that makes it easier on you. A total of the costs of the equipment is required. Extra points if you include wiring and rack (or cloud solution) costs, if the information is valid!

4. As always, cite any sources referenced. A simple website link will result in a -10% of your grade.

5. Your deliverables are as follows:

a. Memo (20%)

b. Infrastructure Diagram (40%)

c. Infrastructure Inventory/BOM – spreadsheet (40%)
